Additional information
Druids Glen is often referred to as "The Augusta of Europe". The flora and fauna of the Glen provide a colourful backdrop to a magnificent golf course. The forests and streams produce a haven for wildlife in what was once a home to the Druids.
Druids Glen was the Home of the Irish Open for 4 years from 1996 -'99 and hosted the Seve Trophy in 2002.
Druids Glen has played host to many of the world's great golfers, including the following "Major Winners": Nick Faldo, Ernie Els, Seve Ballesteros, John Daly, Ian Woosnam, Jose-Maria Olazabal, Retief Goosen and Sandy Lyle.
In 2005 Druids Glen was honoured to receive the award of European Golf Resort of the Year, from the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.
